We have had a very busy couple of weeks in this new year. Things are going well with family life. Mary is settling in and finding her niche. She was offered a job on the 15th, and is loving it. She is cleaning some office buildings at night. John and Michaela are doing well in school. Learning more and more.
We were blessed last Thursday with a new van! It truly is beautiful. We are so grateful that God has trusted us with it. We were not even going to pursue it, but He kept putting it back in our path. I will post some pics of it soon. I'm having battery issues (like I don't have any right now) so as soon as I get that taken care of, I will post some.
We are currently looking forward to our annual Couple's Retreat in February. We always have such a great time. John and I are really looking forward to spending some time together.
I will take time to spend some time on this blog soon.......

2009
As the sun set on this the first day of 2009, I sit back and sigh...what a good day. We slept in this morning, not waking until around 10am. After a big breakfast, we set out to tear down the Christmas tree and put up the Christmas decorations. Many hands make light work. We were able to get everything taken down, put away, and in it's place in the attic in about 2 hours, and part of that was spent watching Anne of Green Gables. I simply love that series of movies. Then as we were getting everything back in the attic, we decided to clean up the black walnuts that we never took to the hullers and clean up the back porch from some leaves. As we were finishing up, John said that he would like to gril some steaks that we had and so we started grilling and cooking, had dinner, showered the kids, and are currently watching Bridge to Terabithia. All before 7:30----what a great day.
