When you are admitted into the hospital, they adorn your wrists with the most in style plastic bracelets around. They have vital information on them including your name, date of birth, any allergies you may have, if you are diabetic and so on. This is to keep you safe. When I was admitted to have Rebekah, I had what seemed like a million things taped on me, stuck in me, and wrapped around me. LOL All in the name of keeping me safe. I did, however, have one favorite bracelet. I shared this bracelet with one other person...Rebekah. They are call Kisses and Hugs. I wore one that said Kisses on my wrist and she wore a tiny look-a-like names Hugs. They were security bracelets! They best part of them....It chimed a tune (lullaby) whenever I came close to her. It basically said that "I'm the mama". When she had been away from me for more than 30 minutes, it chimed. This made me happy. I got up out of bed to head to the bathroom, and walked past Rebekah asleep in her crib, and it chimed. It made me stop and smile. I looked at John and said, "aawww...I'm the mama". If I had gotten close to any other baby, an awful sound is suppose to come out of them as if to say, "you're not the mama, I don't belong to you!" What a concept! As I have thought about writing this blog over the last few days, I have been impressed with the idea that God feels the same way about me. I am His. I don't wear a bracelet or anything that sings to the world that I am His, but I am known by the way I act and the attitude that I have. I loved hearing the tune that went off from the bracelet when I came close to my child...I wonder if God loves the sound that comes from me.
