NERTZ!
Well, today is the day we leave to come home. It just doesn't seem like it has been a whole week. We had so much fun yesterday at the Caverns and at Joe's baseball game. He did fantastic! I have a great pic that I will post on Monday of him sliding into home plate. I will also post some more of the rest of the time that we were here...including a midnight swim for the kids. The boys(Doug and John)also played the little boys in a game of 3 on 2 basketball. It was sooooo not fair. There was a whole lot of cheatin' goin' on! Anyway, we have to get ready to leave. We are a bit behind where we wanted to be but we needed to play a game of NERTZ with Doug and Lori. (we love you Chadd and Morgen) Ya know--you have to have your priorities straight! LOL LOL LOL

We had a great day today--filled with absolutely nothing to do except play and have fun. Lori set up the swimming pool so that they could swim. They had so much fun swimming and jumping on the trampoline. They loved to see Uncle John on the trampoine! Go Uncle John! Then we got ready and went to Josef's baseball game. How much fun was that. He is a great little catcher. The second time he got up to bat, he hit the ball the farthest that he has all season and ended up with a triple. GO JOE! By the end of the game, Michaela was ready to go--she was hungry and ready for Burger Builders! What a great day. We are geared up and ready to go to Carlsbad Caverns tomorrow and then to Josef's ball game that will determine who is first and second in his league. First--- we are going to bed--we are all tired!

Here are some pics of Mary's house, her room, and with Paul and Trudy. After dinner Saturday night, Doug and Lori, Mary, Paul and Trudy, and John and I sat around the table sharing stories of the Roberson children and their best kept secrets. Sorry mom and dad, we still can't tell all! We laughed until we cried and then laughed some more! Then before we all turned in for the night, Mary finished up a cake she was decorating for a little girls birthday party. It was so cute.

Here we are!
We are finally online! We having been having issues with being able to get online, but we are here now!
We began our journey 5 days ago, and haven't stopped since. We left Springfield and drove straight through to Albuquerque. We stopped in Tulsa to visit with our niece and nephew, Paul and Chrystal. We had a great visit and great food at Arby's! LOL Then we continued on to New Mexico. The kids did great in the car, but decided that it was time to get up at 5:00am. The sunrise was beautiful. We arrived in Albuquerque at 8 am. Mary (one of John's sisters) was able to come and spend the night with us in Alb. We had a fantastic time!
Then we continued on to Grants, where Mary lives. Her house is beautiful. We had a great visit and even got to watch her decorate a cake for a birthday party. After church with her on Sunday, we left to make our journey to the opposite corner of the state where John's brothers live. That was a very interesting trip. First we overheated about 9 miles outside of Albuquerque. The radiator cap was not put back on right when we checked the levels and it popped off while going down the highway. So after dumping our cooler full of water in the reserve tank for the radiator, we got to stop at Wal-mart and pick up some antifreeze.
We decided to take I25 down through Captian, to see Smokey the Bear. The kids liked seeing the park that is there. We left and went through the mountains to Roswell. About 15 miles outside of Roswell we had a blow-out on the car and had to pull over to change the tire. We had to take everything out of the PACKED trunk and change the tire. Then we had to try to figure out how to get the full size tire in the already packed trunk. We did it and I have pictures that I will post later. God had provided everything that we needed before when even needed it. John Richard talked his daddy into letting him buy a "Head Light" so that he could read and play Game Boy after dark in the car. He convinced him of this in Albuquerque, so needless to say, we had a light in order to change the tire. (Our flashlight batteries were dead). God is soooo Good!
We spent Monday in Lovington and had a great time with our nephews and just let the kids play. We went to McDonlds and they thought that Aunt Jenn and Uncle John were the greatest. We spent yesterday in Artesia. We were able to spend some time with Garry (John's youngest brother) and his family, and our nephew Sam. We also went out and spent some time with our former Pastor and his wife and some friends of our from church, Mike and Anita. We had a fabulous time visiting with them.
Today we will spend the day trying to find a tire for the car and just having a laid back day while waiting for Doug and Lori to get off work. Tomorrow Lori will be off and they both get Friday off. I think we will be going to Carlsbad Caverns. I promise to get on here later to post pics. We have some great ones!

Is there more than 24 hours in a day?
We are getting ready to leave on our family vacation for the year. We decided to go to New Mexico for 9 days. John has not been back home in 4 years and is so ready to be there. We have alot planned in those 9 days. We are going to Albuquerque first to go to the Zoo and Bio Park, which includes a huge aquarium. Then it is on to visit ONE of John's sisters, Mary, in Grants. We are so excited to get to see her as it has been a couple of years. We are meeting ONE of John's brothers and his family up there, then traveling back to their home in Lovington. I just cannot express how excited we all are to go. The countdown has begun, and we are officially 50 hours (or so) from leaving to be on the way. We covet prayers. Not only are we going to be on the road, but we will be in a car with a 9 and 6 year old. DVD players will only work for so long and this is going to be a whale of a trip. I will write more as the trip goes as well as post some pictures, if anyone is interested. (That is if I can figure this thing out--I'm new to this stuff, so bear with me!)

Clueless
I guess this is going to be my first blog posting. I really don't know what to do or expect--we'll see how it all turns out in the end.
